# SeekSkins — CS2 skin price aggregation across 30+ markets > SeekSkins tracks live CS2 (Counter-Strike 2) skin prices on 30+ marketplaces, > normalizes every quote to USD, and publishes the result as per-skin pages, > category hubs, leaderboards and market comparisons. > Canonical origin: https://seekskins.com > This file tells AI crawlers and agents which pages carry market data worth > crawling, and what our numbers mean. It is a plain static file: every client > (curl, bot, browser) receives exactly the same bytes. ## Data semantics — what our numbers are - Every price on this site is **a live quote observed on a specific marketplace**, not an estimate: we record the lowest ask for a given item and wear, plus the number of quotes we saw for it. - Each quote carries its **capture time**; prices move intraday, so a number is only meaningful together with the timestamp that accompanies it on the page. - All amounts are normalized to **USD**; on pages that also show the seller's original currency we keep that original figure as a reference column only. - **Historical prices are updated daily** (day-level granularity), and derived statistics (7-day drops, volatility, spreads between markets) are computed from those daily series, not from a single snapshot. - Comparison and leaderboard pages state their own selection window and metric in the page copy; when comparing two pages, use the window printed on the page. ## Highest-value pages to crawl (priority order) These are the entry points that lead to real market data. They are ordered by value per crawl: category hubs lead to the largest number of priced pages. ### 1. Weapon category hubs Each hub lists the skins of that weapon class with their lowest observed price and quote count, and links onward to per-skin and per-variant pages. - [AK-47, M4A4, AWP and every rifle skin — lowest price and quote count](https://seekskins.com/en/weapons/rifles): Rifle class hub; links onward to every rifle skin page and its variant (wear-grade) pages. - [Karambit, Butterfly, Bayonet and every knife skin](https://seekskins.com/en/weapons/knives): Knife class hub; the highest-value class on CS2, with the widest price spreads between marketplaces. - [Glock, USP-S, Desert Eagle and every pistol skin](https://seekskins.com/en/weapons/pistols): Pistol class hub with lowest ask and quote count per skin. - [Bloodhound, Butterfly Karambit and every glove skin](https://seekskins.com/en/weapons/gloves): Glove class hub; gloves trade in a separate price band from weapons. - [AWP, SSG 08, G3SG1 and every sniper rifle skin](https://seekskins.com/en/weapons/sniper-rifles): Sniper rifle hub; AWP is the single most-traded precision weapon. - [MP9, MAC-10, UMP-45 and every SMG skin](https://seekskins.com/en/weapons/smgs): SMG class hub with per-skin lowest quote. - [Nova, XM1014, MAG-7 and every shotgun skin](https://seekskins.com/en/weapons/shotguns): Shotgun class hub. - [MP5-SD, MAG-7, M249 and every machine gun skin](https://seekskins.com/en/weapons/machine-guns): Machine gun class hub. ### 2. Editorial content - [CS2 skin price guides and market analysis](https://seekskins.com/en/blog): Editorial articles on CS2 skin pricing, market structure and how to read price data. Each article ends with links to related articles in the same category. ## Machine-readable endpoints - [Public data API catalog](https://seekskins.com/api-catalog.json): JSON list of the public read-only endpoints (paths, query parameters, response fields, one runnable example each) — the same list has a human-readable page at https://seekskins.com/en/developers. ## Reading order for an agent 1. Pick the **category hub** closest to the question (rifles / knives / pistols / gloves / snipers / SMGs / shotguns / machine guns). 2. For "which is cheapest" and "where is the spread widest", go to the **leaderboard pages** — they already rank by the metric the question implies. 3. For "where do I buy", use the **marketplace profiles** or **comparison pages**; they name the platforms and show which side is cheaper. 4. For price history or a fair-value judgement, read the **per-skin page**: it carries the lowest quote, the quote count, the capture time and a 7-day change. 5. Use **editorial content** only for context; the numbers to quote come from the pages above.
