dastan: Vitality and Falcons' "first-round exit" is due to format and schedule issues; LAN events will definitely be different

PARIVISION coach dastan reviewed the losses of numerous title favorites at the BLAST Bounty tournament. He pointed out three reasons, stating that these factors were exactly why Team Falcons, Team Vitality, FURIA, G2, and Aurora failed to prove themselves.

Q: Why were Team Falcons, Team Vitality, and other top teams eliminated from BLAST?

dastan: Three factors came into play simultaneously. The primary one is that this tournament uses a single-elimination format, leaving no room for error. The second factor is that this is the first match following the off-season, and the players haven't fully regained their form yet. The third factor is that it's an online event. Lower-tier teams have more time to prepare. Moreover, the pressure is lower online, making it easier for them. At a LAN event, the situation would be entirely different.

Following the online stage, all of the world's top 10 ranked teams left the tournament, with Team Spirit being the sole exception. For most top-tier teams, the BLAST Bounty tournament is their first event after the break. PARIVISION did not receive an invitation to this tournament because their loss at the IEM Cologne Major 2026 caused them to drop out of the VRS rankings.
