Fallen: Farewell Tour Brings Complex Emotions—Putting Aside Feelings to Support Teammates Daily

Following FISSURE Playground 3's elimination by G2, Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo reflected on the team's loss, the match against Legacy, and the intensive travel schedule, candidly admitting that with retirement looming, he is striving to set emotions aside and cherish every remaining match.

Journalist: You faced G2 in the quarterfinals, and your FISSURE journey ended there. Looking back on that series, at what point do you feel things started slipping away, especially on Dust2?

FalleN: I think we lost some key rounds on the first map. Those rounds could have gone our way, and on Dust2, they just played much better than us. We didn't have many opportunities there, so I think we had to win the first map to really have a chance in this series.

Journalist: You also faced Legacy earlier in the tournament and lost to them again. How did you process that result? Were there recurring issues in those matches that proved difficult for you to address?

FalleN: It's never been easy playing against Legacy. They played excellent CS, and that match certainly has lessons for us to take away to prepare for future encounters.

Reporter: Your recent schedule has been very tight, traveling from Paris to Porto and then to China. How are you coping with it? Do you think this has affected your energy, preparation, or performance in this tournament?

FalleN: These things are hard to judge because, of course, when you come to an event and want to win, dealing with all the travel becomes a bit easier. But flying around every week is definitely tough, especially when the tournament locations are so far apart.

对我们来说,来中国很重要。这是一项值得参加的赛事,一旦决定我们会打,我们就很高兴能来。

Reporter: You still have several competitions left this season. How close do you think the team is to putting together a championship-winning performance? What still needs to be improved to achieve that?

FalleN: Sometimes I feel we are not too far from winning the tournament, but sometimes it feels like we're actually very far away. It depends on the match.

There are rounds we'll lose, situations we'll misread, or we might not find the optimal solution. The key lies in finding that necessary synergy that allows us to compete at such a high level and truly win tournaments, so we're working hard to regain that synergy.

Journalist: You're now just a few months away from retirement—has that changed how you approach these competitions? Do you find yourself cherishing them differently?

FalleN:In a situation like this, there are always a lot of emotions because there are only a few events left until the end, right? I hadn't really thought about it much before, but at the same time, I understand my responsibility to the team and how much everyone relies on me to put in the work.

I put my emotions aside and try to work as well as possible every day to help the team. But it's definitely a little different, knowing that this is all about to end. I want to make the most of it and do my absolute best.
