GamerLegion has officially announced that REZ will miss the opening stage of Logitech G Play Connect due to severe food poisoning. The Swedish player is currently in hospital undergoing examinations after feeling unwell for several hours. The club still hopes he can rejoin the team later in the day, but whether he can compete will depend on his recovery.
Stepping in for REZ is kRaSnaL, who is currently still on ENCE's bench. kRaSnaL's last official match dates back to April this year, when he represented Prodigy at the Gamers Assembly Festival.
This is also the third consecutive tournament that GamerLegion has been forced to use a substitute:
IEM Beijing Closed Qualifier, Maden replaces Tauson who is absent due to health reasons;
FISSURE Playground 3, assistant coach Grashog replaces Snax, who is unable to travel to China due to a damaged passport.
At this Logitech G Play Connect, GamerLegion has been placed in Group A, alongside B8, M80, Luminosity, Ninjas in Pyjamas and Metizport. The top three teams from each group will advance to the single-elimination playoffs.
