After the match, n1ssim gave an interview to HLTV, discussing the team's current condition, the changes brought by the new sniper try, and his experience of voluntarily stepping onto the bench mid-season before making a comeback. In his view, Legacy's goal has never been just to become Brazil's best; "I only want to be the world's best."
Q: Congratulations on defeating FURIA and advancing to the semifinals. How satisfied are you with your team's performance in this tournament up to this point?
n1ssim: I think we played really well in this tournament. It's probably a second or third-tier event, but I believe our performance was truly impressive.
Q: This marks your second victory over FURIA this year. For you, is there anything special about facing them?
n1ssim: For me personally, no. However, I do think that when the two top teams in Brazil face off, the Brazilian community certainly adds some spice to the match. But for me, it's just another game, and I only want to defeat them.
Q：Would you consider becoming Brazil's top team as your goal?
n1ssim：Actually, not at all. I mean, I want us to become the best team in the world.
I don't care about being first in the Americas or first in Brazil; I only want to be the world's number one.
Q: Try has been playing with you for several months. What do you think he brings to the team?
n1ssim: I think try is a very overblown sniper. His game understanding is also excellent, and his mid-game shot-calling is very strong.
So I think, he has brought us very solid help in the position of sniper.
Q: You were benched mid-season and then returned to the team. Can you tell us what happened during that time?
n1ssim: Yes. Actually, around the middle of this year, I chose to sit on the bench myself because I was expecting the team to make some roster adjustments, but those changes never happened.
Afterwards, I also looked forward to receiving offers from other teams. There were indeed some offers that came my way, but none were particularly ideal.
Later Legacy's CEO asked if I'd be willing to come back. At the time, I didn't have much going on at home, so I came back.
Q: Given that Legacy now appears quite competitive, how satisfied are you with how things have turned out in the end?
n1ssim: Yes, we have indeed played really well recently.
I feel that after returning, I have a completely different mindset toward my playing style, so now I play much better than before, and I can also contribute more effectively to the team.
Plus, with the addition of try, I feel it has also been helpful to me personally. So now, we are a very solid team.
Q：So for you personally, was stepping away for a while and then returning also kind of like a fresh start?
n1ssim: Yes, I think that's indeed the case.
After leaving and rejoining the team, I returned with a completely different mindset.
Q: You've already won two tournament titles in China, and now you're just two matches away from another championship. Do you think your "Chinese luck" is still there?
n1ssim: I think "China's good luck" is still going strong (laughs).
To be honest, I don't know why either. I don't know if it's because of the audience here or the hotel room, I really have no idea.
But I feel this really brought us something great. It's probably just "Chinese luck."
Q：Considering you've already defeated the top-ranked FURIA in this tournament, who do you think will be the toughest opponent in the finals?
n1ssim: To be honest, I don't even know which teams are in this competition.
Because after arriving in China, I was basically sleeping all day due to jet lag (laughing).
It seems like I saw G2 here as well. There should be FURIA, G2, Astralis... oh, Astralis has been eliminated? Is G2 still here then?
If that's the case, then I'd say G2 or FURIA.
