After losing to MOUZ in the first round of the EWC knockout stage, GL player FL4MUS gave an interview, looking back on the closely-fought match, talking about settling into his new team, and clarifying a matter of public concern: he is not playing for GL on loan.
Q: After winning Ancient, you got off to a smooth start on Nuke and it looked like you were about to close out the match. What went wrong on defense and on offense?
FL4MUS: It's probably still a lack of chemistry. We're still a new roster after all, roles have been constantly shifting, and we couldn't adjust in time against an experienced team. MOUZ is not a weak team. We made quite a few mistakes in tactical execution, didn't do what we were supposed to do, there's nothing more to say.
Q: The gap between the two sides wasn't that big, you actually had a chance to win?
FL4MUS: We absolutely had a chance. We won all the matches we were supposed to win, and MOUZ had just won the BLAST championship and beaten Spirit. We took them to the very last moment, just one round short. The match was very close, we fought until the end, so from that perspective, I'm actually satisfied.
Q: Tauson is the only former teammate left, is it hard to fit into the new team?
FL4MUS: No problems. I played with Snax before at GL, and hypex and REZ are really nice guys, so fitting in has been pretty smooth.
Q: You've been with VP, OG, and BetBoom over the past two years — what's the biggest difference you feel now at GL?
FL4MUS: It's hard to say. What makes me happiest is — I'm not on loan.
Q: Will you take a break next, or go straight into preparing for Rift Worlds S3?
FL4MUS: We'll take a short break, then start preparing. Losing to strong teams is no big deal, just keep practicing and prepare for FISSURE Universe S3.
