TaZ: I am proud of the players for fighting until the very end

In an interview with HLTV, TaZ discussed BC.Game's narrow loss to 100 Thieves and the lessons they learned from the Esports World Cup.

BC.Game was eliminated from the Esports World Cup after a narrow loss to 100 Thieves. Fine margins decided their fate: they had the chance to close out the series in two maps, but Jack "Gizmy" von Spreckelsen pulled off a 1v3, and they subsequently fell 11-13 on Anubis.

HLTV interviewed Wiktor “TaZ” Wojtas after the match, asking for his thoughts on being eliminated and how those details determined the outcome of the match.

TaZ: "CS is a game where victory and defeat come down to the details. Sometimes you lose rounds when you have the advantage, and sometimes you win rounds when you're at a disadvantage, so there's no need to dwell on it too much. We just need to go back and keep getting better."

The Pole also praised the resilience shown by the players, stating that this represents a "huge change" compared to the previous roster BC.Game fielded at the beginning of the year.

TaZ: "This combines improvisation with a highly rigorous system that leaves almost no room for creativity."

"I am proud that they fought until the very last moment. This is not how we were known at the beginning of the year, and it is absolutely a huge change."

TaZ then discussed some of the challenges BC.Game faced during the early stages of this project. The project is only just beginning to take shape under the leadership of new in-game leader Emil “Magisk” Reif, while the team has also added two new members, Ayush “mzinho” Batbold and Azbayar “Senzu” Munkhbold.

TaZ: "We will definitely miss some things, and that's what we've been trying to remind the whole team about: we can't be perfect, we'll miss utility, we'll forget tactics, and those things have indeed already happened."

"As time goes on, we will improve and our teamwork will become more polished, especially in how we react as a team when we gain an advantage or when the match gets tight. For this roster, this is our second LAN event, and I think we showed solid CS, as well as some things worth building on for the future."

"We need to remember that Sasha and Denis come from a different type of CS, and mzinho and Senzu come from yet another. So, we have to combine free play with a very strict system that leaves almost no room for creativity, while we also have players on the team who are highly creative. We will continue to work hard to improve ourselves."
