This marks the third encounter between the two teams within the past two weeks—in both previous matches, Legacy emerged victorious. After the game, karrigan and TeSeS each gave interviews, discussing this troublesome opponent.
TeSeS：“It was very difficult for us to deal with their playstyle. I think we struggled against Legacy's strategy and just couldn't find a solution during the match. It felt like they had us pinned right from the start, always staying a step ahead. We could only try to adjust midway through, but our adjustments weren't fast enough. Hopefully, this time will be different.”
Reviewing the match against Lynn Vision
TeSeS admitted that the team's performance was quite inconsistent: "We played well on the first map, but on the attack side of Ancient, we completely collapsed and played really poorly. Even on the defense side, we couldn't adjust and recover. Lynn Vision played very well, with a playstyle entirely different from what we expected. Our pre-match preparations for countering them were basically useless, so we have to give them credit."
TeSeS also revealed that Falcons have been discussing why they always perform poorly against lower-ranked teams: we've talked about this issue. Playing against lower-ranked teams can indeed lead to more problems, and it's something we've been working hard to address. Some matches have improved, but there's still a long way to go.
karrigan: "Legacy is our nemesis, but we need to embrace the chaos"
Captain karrigan analyzed this opponent from a broader perspective.
karrigan: Legacy really have our number—they’ve beaten us in the last two or three matches. But that should actually become our motivation. We also have to acknowledge that Legacy is now a top-tier team. Look at their ranking, look at their performance… Their style is very unpredictable. In a way, they’re one of the most unorthodox teams in CS, and we can actually thrive in that kind of chaos, finding opportunities within it. They’re great at controlling the pace, but we should also be able to play a different style of CS. If a team only knows one way to play, they’ll never win a Major. You have to adapt to your opponent. This time, we prepared different strategies, reviewed the small details that could make a difference, and got ourselves more ready. Legacy is definitely dangerous.
