BC.Game officially announced the removal of electroNic from the active roster and his move to the bench. Sources further revealed that the team is close to signing asap as a replacement. This move aims to shift the lineup toward an Asian core to enhance their chances of qualifying for the PGL Singapore Major.
CEO responds: a difficult decision, has nothing to do with electroNic himself
BC.Game CEO Ali Muhanned stated in an interview with HLTV that although electroNic is one of the most important individuals for the team both on and off the field, he had to make a tough decision for the long-term development of the project.
"electroNic is a very positive person, don't be misled by the snippets on social media. He's humorous, often jokes with his teammates, and can always lift the team's spirits when needed."
"But as CEO, I have to make tough decisions—it's a necessary step for the project's growth." "This has nothing to do with electroNic himself. If there were more time to prepare for the Major, I would have given him more time. After all, this is a new team."
Strategic adjustment: From European Red Ocean to Asian Blue OceanAfter bringing in asap, BC.Game will build an Asian-focused roster. In the European region, they currently hold the 36th position in the VRS rankings, with only 18 Major spots available, making their hopes of advancing quite slim. However, with their current 1191 points, they rank 4th in the Asian VRS rankings—and the Asian region offers 5 qualification spots, which undoubtedly presents a more realistic path to advancement.
With only six weeks left until the Major invitation deadline, BC.Game will continue to score points in smaller offline tournaments such as ROG Journey Autumn, Stake Pulse Beat III, and DraculaN Season 7 to further improve their chances of advancing.
