HObbit: Enjoying playing under PV's system, making the playoffs feels like a dream

HObbit said playing for PARIVISION is "a great honor" for him. At ESL Pro League, PARIVISION played their first event with HObbit officially added to the lineup, but the new roster has already found success, securing a memorable victory over Natus Vincere on the way to the playoffs.

After returning to the top flight following years of struggling in Europe's lower tiers, HObbit admitted adapting to PARIVISION's system hasn't been easy. "It's been an important experience because the system they use is very different," he told HLTV after the team secured a playoff spot.

“I've never played in such a huge system, you know? There's so much to remember, so much to understand. It's hard, but I understand that this is my opportunity to compete on a high-level stage right now.”

With his debut at the legendary Katowice Arena approaching, HObbit spoke to HLTV about adjusting to life with a new team, and what he brings to Jame and dastan's system at PARIVISION.

Q: Okay, HObbit, congratulations. How does it feel to be back at the Spodek Arena?

A: For me, it feels like a dream right now.

Q: Tell me about playing for PARIVISION, then leaving, and then coming back. How excited are you to have this opportunity to return?

A: Of course, it is a great honor for me to play for PARIVISION. I have great respect for the players I compete with. First of all, this is an important experience for me because the system they use is very different, I have never played in such a huge system, you know? There is a lot to remember, a lot to understand. It's difficult, but I understand that this is my opportunity to compete on a high-level stage right now.

Q: So what have you brought to the team? Because dastan talked about your experience and such. You said it's sometimes hard to understand the system, but you're also bringing something to the team, right?

A: Yes. I try to bring in a lot of things that have worked throughout my career. Of course, I'm also trying to fix their system. Sometimes their system is too vast, and I try to filter it, so to speak. I don't think I've ever said this before, but in every team I've given my all every single time. Here, I'm doing the same thing, but I'm working more with my head, together with the team. I also try to give simple answers that they can use in matches.

Q: What's that like? Because they obviously have two other young players. How do you use your experience to shape and help these guys while also learning the system yourself? Doing both at the same time sounds pretty difficult.

A: Yes. I've already said, I'm doing everything I do, but only they can say how I've helped them. Yes. I won't say anything, but I'll do my best. That's it.

Q: Also, about returning to frontline competition, having been away for several years: did you think you would get such an opportunity again? How excited are you to compete again in two days?

A: It's really different. The game has changed, the version has changed, I'm working hard to adapt, and I'm enjoying it. That's it.

Q: Also, dastan told me at the start of the event, he said: 'I want to win a trophy with HObbit before he retires.' If it's this time, that would be pretty good, right?

A: I'm already very happy to compete alongside them. For me, that's enough.
