The roster is back to full strength ahead of the Stake Pulse Beat III debut.
Astralis announced the signing of siuhy and cmtry, confirming earlier reports from HLTV and KRL — the two are set to replace HooXi and jabbi.
This move will see cmtry give up the AWP and switch to rifler, with phzyt continuing as the primary AWPer. The Ukrainian was moved to the FUT bench in early October to make room for SunPayus, and now joins Astralis hoping that stepping away from the sniper role will help him turn around a poor run of form.
siuhy became a free agent on October 2 after playing for Liquid for a little over a year. During that time, the team struggled to halt its decline, exiting tournaments early, lacking cohesion, and delivering disappointing T-side performances.
He also hopes to get Astralis back on track, and this will be the first time Astralis has not been majority Danish. According to HLTV's simulator page, after winning Stake Ranked Episode 4, the team has locked in an invite to the PGL Singapore Major, which will ease some pressure as they get used to the new player.
siuhy and cmtry will make their debut for Astralis at Stake Pulse Beat III, the team is placed in Group C, and their first match today will be against Sashi.
