As the Singapore Major invite deadline approaches, Wildcard has made significant progress in the race for the Americas spot.
Wildcard won the FRAG University 2026 championship, defeating NRG once and DENDELE twice on their road to the title, and earned $13,750 in prize money.
This international roster showed remarkable resilience on the road to the final, surviving overtime battles against NRG and DENDELE, and ultimately meeting DENDELE, who fought their way out of the lower bracket, in the BO5 final.
As the upper-bracket team, Wildcard held a 1-0 lead in the grand final, and that advantage proved crucial in the grueling battle against DENDELE. The first three maps were all one-sided: DENDELE took Mirage and Inferno, while Wildcard won Nuke, pushing the series to a decider on Anubis. On Anubis, both teams started strong on the T side before CT-side comebacks turned the momentum around. As the map went to overtime, nEMANHA and koala were clearly a cut above their teammates in terms of impact. In the end, Wildcard had the last laugh, sealing the championship with a perfect three-round CT defense in overtime.
Wildcard earned a lot of points this time, moved up 22 places in the rankings, and significantly increased their chances of qualifying for the Major.
