bobeksde: Our Goal is to Get Alliance Major Qualification

In the first match of the FISSURE Playground 3 quarterfinals, Alliance was eliminated by MIBR. It was a rather one-sided contest, with the South American team securing victory on both maps.

The latest member to join the team, Jonathan "bobeksde" Persson, stated that they felt unprepared for the match, as the more experienced MIBR dominated the series, leaving Alliance looking out of place on the arena stage in Suzhou.

However, the Swedes can take comfort in breaking through the group stage, accumulating valuable VRS points after defeating FaZe, TYLOO, and magic, laying a solid foundation for their push at the Singapore Major.

Reporter: What do you think was missing in your match against MIBR?

bobeksde:I don't know if it's confidence or what, but we're missing a lot of initiative. It just feels like we're not ready for the match at all.

Journalist: You have reached the semifinals in similar tournaments before. Does that give you a higher expectation of yourself here?

bobeksde: I think our goal is the Major. So we came here hoping to win, and anything else is basically a bonus. Overall, it's been a decent event, but now it's obviously terrible.

Reporter: This has boosted your VRS ranking. You're now 15th, and your prediction score is also quite high. Do you feel you're in a favorable position to make it all the way to the Major?

bobeksde:Sure, I think we've got a great chance. Obviously, it's our goal, but I don't think we should focus too much on it. We should treat every competition as important as this one. But yes, I think we have a very good opportunity.

Reporter: You have several smaller offline events coming up. Do you think you genuinely have a chance to win one of them? Are you confident about that?

bobeksde: Of course, I feel that with the experience gained from the two events in China and all that, we have improved a lot. I believe we at least have a great chance of winning one of them.

Reporter: You recently joined this team, what are your impressions of it?

bobeksde: I think this is a very good team, very stable, with a great support staff around us. I feel we also get excellent help from outside, not just limited to CS. But overall, in-game we have fantastic snipers, amazing shot-callers, incredible creativity, and we are a powerful core of riflemen.

Journalist: Speaking of your support team, it's unusual that you have coaches, but during the match, it's a performance coach or general manager standing behind you. What is the reason for this arrangement?

bobeksde: Generally, Hawk does more of the analytical work. He’s with us throughout the match, it’s just because… well, that’s all.

Reporter: If Pontus isn't too inclined towards analysis, what is his role in the match?

bobeksde: He mainly helps us stay calm during the game, and he might not say much about the game during timeouts. Obviously, he has some understanding of what we do and what happens, but I think it's mainly about keeping us calm during the match, letting us focus on the present, so to speak.
