Thorin Defends kyousuke: He's Only Been in Top-Tier Tournaments for Less Than a Year

Many people have forgotten that he hasn't even competed for a full year and a half—Thorin defends kyousuke's performance at BLAST Porto.

CS analyst Thorin stepped forward to defend young player kyousuke after his poor performance at BLAST Open Porto 2026. He reminded everyone that this rifler had only been participating in top-tier events for just over a year.

Thorin :"People forget that kyousuke hasn't even completed a full year and a half of top-tier events. From an experience standpoint, he's still a rookie, and most players at this stage rarely hold their own in the semifinals of major tournaments, let alone shoulder such immense expectations."

Team Falcons lost to Spirit in the semifinals, failing to replicate their glory at the IEM Cologne Major 2026. kyousuke's average rating in this tournament was 1.09, marking his worst performance in the past three months. For comparison, his rating at EWC 2026 was 1.21, and at the Major, it was 1.15.

Previously, Thorin had hoped kyousuke would continue to prove himself after winning the Major. He pointed out at the time that the rifler had finally stopped underperforming in the playoffs. However, he later admitted that kyousuke had never managed to surpass donk, with whom he was constantly being compared.
