BESTIA defeated Bounty Hunters to win Circuit X Curitiba—as Circuit X Curitiba concluded on Sunday, BESTIA and Fluxo are currently tied for 10th place in the Americas VRS, just 14 Valve points away from the qualification zone for the Singapore Major. This was the first offline event BESTIA participated in after adding drop and kauez to their roster, and they went all the way to the championship, losing only one match in the group stage—a 0-2 defeat to Galorys. They secured 204 points with this victory, and drop was named the tournament's MVP by Dust2 Brasil. (You might not recognize this team, but they were the ones who qualified for the Major in Austin last year but were replaced by Legacy due to visa issues.)
"This is really cool," he said after the finals. "Due to my role, I never thought I could win the MVP medal, but I'm also very happy that I was able to help the team.
"At the end of the day, when it comes to team success, the individual stats are a bit irrelevant. But of course, I'm really happy to achieve this personal milestone, which proves that at such an early stage, I'm heading in the right direction." After placing behind ShindeN in Group C, Fluxo pulled off an upset against top seed paiN in the quarterfinals. They subsequently lost to Bounty Hunters in the semifinals but successfully avenged their earlier defeat against ShindeN in the bronze medal match.
paiN secured 14 Valve points from this tournament but once again missed the opportunity to consolidate their ranking position. The team led by biguzera will now turn their attention to FERJEE In House (September 23-27), where Imperial and Bounty Hunters are expected to be their main rivals for the championship.
Meanwhile, BESTIA and Fluxo will continue their journey to qualify for the Major overseas. BESTIA will fly to the United States to participate in the iBUYPOWER Masters FML, while Fluxo will head to Portugal for the LEON.bet Masters Season 1.
