This well-known organization broke up the Danish core before the Singapore Major.
Astralis has confirmed that HooXi and jabbi have been benched with immediate effect. This announcement comes just two days after HLTV reported that the Danish organization was actively seeking replacements for the pair, whose contracts are entering their final months.
“Sometimes you need to completely turn the page on a chapter to make room for new things,” Jonas Gundersen, founder and CEO of Fusion Esports, the parent company of Astralis, wrote in a statement posted on X. “Astralis is one of the most successful brands in CS history, built by an iconic Danish lineup that has given all of our fans memories to last a lifetime. This is a true legacy we will always be proud of. However, it is time to turn the page.”
"As a step towards moving in a new direction, we have jointly decided that from today, Astralis' journey will continue without HooXi and jabbi, whose contracts expire at the end of the year. I want to express my sincere gratitude for their hard work and dedication in being part of the Astralis story, especially for recently helping us win our first LAN championship since 2019."
Former Liquid IGL siuhy and FUT substitute cmtry are rumored to be joining Astralis. If the deal goes through, cmtry will transition to rifler.
jabbi has been with Astralis since November 2023, when he was brought in from HEROIC together with stavn in a blockbuster transfer. HooXi signed in June 2025 after a spell on the bench, taking over the in-game leadership from cadiaN. The Danish IGL led the team to victory at Stake Ranked Episode 4 — Astralis' first LAN trophy since December 2019 — and to the finals of three other LAN events (PGL Astana 2025, FISSURE Playground 1 and PGL Bucharest 2026).
The title-winning run in Barcelona has lifted Astralis into the global VRS top ten, and according to HLTV's latest projections, they have almost secured qualification for the Singapore Major. Astralis is expected to announce a new player soon, with the team scheduled to compete at Stake Pulse Beat III on October 12.
