Vitality has officially announced that jL will serve as a stand-in for the team at the BLAST Porto event and the PGL Bucharest Major, replacing mezii and apEX while they are on paternity leave.
In the announcement, Vitality did not explicitly state which event mezii and apEX would each miss, but a previous report by KRL indicated that mezii will miss the BLAST Porto event, while apEX will miss the PGL Bucharest Masters.
This news comes at a time when Vitality is experiencing a performance slump. Earlier this year, they claimed five consecutive tournament titles, but have now failed to reach the top four in three straight events.
For jL, this is another opportunity to showcase himself to the outside world after leaving NAVI in July, having already played for MOUZ as a substitute earlier this year.
If mezii and apEX are absent from these two tournaments as previously reported, Vitality will field the following roster:
