CS Skin Appreciation: MAC-10 | Arabic Mosaic

Today we come to appreciate this unique Mac-10 with an Arabic mosaic pattern.

This skin belongs to the Arabesque series, designed and created by authors WAGAN and Shieno💢. The original name of the skin is Arabesque, and it is named Arabesque Mosaic when added to the game. The Chinese server translates it as Arabic Mosaic.

The gun's pattern incorporates Middle Eastern architecture and landscapes—featuring cities with domed buildings, golden structures under starry skies, and expansive desert cityscapes, showcasing the skin's mysterious exotic charm and grand epic feel.

The main pattern of the gun body – it features a ceramic base, and the gun body is designed to be assembled from off-white square tiles, with realistic natural aging cracks on the surface, giving it a texture closely resembling weather-beaten ancient walls or unearthed artifacts.

Azulejo Tile Art: In the initial version presented by the artist, the color palette featured a combination of gold and blue, drawing inspiration from the exotic tradition of blue-and-white tiles adorned with intricate geometric and figurative designs. This imbued the weapon with a classical, delicate, and fragile "ceramic" quality. The version ultimately included in the game removed the blue elements but retained the checkered "tile" aesthetic. In its final in-game rendition, the color of this scroll was rendered in a more subdued sand hue, perfectly blending with the white tile base, as if sunlight were falling upon an ancient mural.

The grip and magazine parts below the gun body do not use a template landscape painting but feature a beige geometric pattern. This orderly, repetitive traditional texture creates a visual contrast with the free and romantic landscape painting on the upper part of the gun, adding depth to the skin.

The "miniature scene" at the end of the gun butt—this skin also hides thoughtful details at the rear (visible from the holding perspective). The rear structure is designed as a miniature architectural element, resembling an arched window or niche. Inside this "window," the lighthouse from the landscape painting is depicted, creating a sacred and intricate sense of depth.

Wrapping a complete landscape scroll around the body of the gun, turning the weapon itself into a medium for storytelling, while the template mechanism gives it versatile pattern effects, creating a unique "ceramic weapon" aesthetic. The platinum color scheme is elegant and noble, from the subtle tile texture on the gun's body to the geometric patterns on the grip, and finally to the stunning miniature architectural painting at the tail of the gun, every detail reflects the designer's ingenuity.

Skin without normals (tiled appearance)

Part of the gun body features important patterns drawn with metallic materials, such as pyramid and sun templates, which present light effects similar to sunrise or sunset under specific angles.

Metal effect comparison:

This is the template variation of this skin, featuring scenes of mountains, pyramids, the sun, the moon, cities, and deserts scattered across the vast land. The pattern formed by the moon and stars resembles the flag of Turkey.

The style of this skin is spray paint, with a wear range of 0 to 1. The template will scrape away the surface pattern on the gun body, removing some of the white layer to reveal the black base underneath. This skin also has a unique attribute: when the white layer on the gun body is scratched off, it reveals a golden, metallic-textured base layer.
