Australian IGL dexter recently updated his social media, revealing his earnings during his time as a CS player, stating that his annual income in 2023 reached its "peak," hitting "an annual income of 3 million RMB" through prize money and sticker revenue shares.

dexter: Every time my career as a CS pro comes up, there's one question everyone always asks — how much money do you actually make? Well, hopefully this video will give a clear answer so I never have to answer this question again in my life. I'll use two examples to show how much I earned: one is 2018, when my salary was at its lowest; the other is 2023, when my income was at its highest, including salary, prize money, and sticker revenue share.
Keep in mind, every number here is pre-tax — the amount before deducting all taxes, before deducting anything. And at that time I was in Germany, being taxed at a 45% rate — that feeling was really "great." So in 2018 I earned about 3,000 (AUD) per month, 36,000 AUD in salary + 15,000 AUD in bonuses for the full year. But my friends, my family, everyone around me earned so much more than I did, so much more that you couldn't help but wonder: is this really the right career choice.

dexter: Then, as the years went by, you earn more and more money, get better contracts, and everything just keeps rising. My best year was 2023 — that year it was about 640,000 Australian dollars (about 3 million RMB), before tax. That's definitely quite a substantial income. As for where all that money ended up going and how it was managed, that's something I'll talk about in a later video.
So stop letting your parents nag you and keep you from playing games, and don't let your fiancée or wife think this industry has no future — there will always be opportunities to build a career here. But the key is how much you put into this game: the time you invest, and your professional attitude.
