Luminosity announced the signing of yxngstxr from HEROIC, bringing its active roster back to full strength after benching Bymas on Monday.
After being in limbo in the first half of 2026, yxngstxr will finally have a stable home. He was moved to HEROIC's bench at the start of the year, before returning to the lineup as the sniper while the organization worked to resolve Alkaren's visa issues.
As the team's stand-in sniper, the Swedish player averaged a 1.00 Rating, helping HEROIC qualify for Stage 1 of the IEM Cologne Major and winning DraculaN Season 5 and Stake Ranked Episode 3.
"After two difficult seasons, it's finally time to start the real rifle grind," yxngstxr said in a post on social media.
He joins the lineup as Bymas's replacement. Previously, the former Monte core built around lux debuted under Luminosity, only to finish last and be eliminated at both the XPL and the Esports World Cup, after which Bymas was moved to the bench.
yxngstxr will make his debut for Luminosity at Roman Imperium Cup VIII, which is scheduled to take place from September 10 to 13.
