With registration now closed, the team list for the Esports World Cup CS open qualifier has been finalized. A total of 64 teams have signed up for this three-day LAN qualifier, competing for four main event spots in the $2 million tournament.
The reputation the Esports World Cup has built internationally, combined with the prize money offered by the CS event and the Club Championship, makes this tournament one of the highlights of the season, with all 28 invited teams eligible under the VRS rankings having accepted their invitations.
Liquid, BC.Game, HEROIC, 100 Thieves, NRG and DENDELE will be among the teams fighting for main event spots through this brutal qualifier. The qualifier will kick off with 16 four-team double-elimination groups.
The top two teams from each group will advance to the single-elimination stage. All matches will be BO3.
