★ Gut Knife | Rust Coat is a gritty, survivalist knife finish introduced on January 8, 2015 with the “Full Spectrum” update, debuting as a rare special item from the Chroma Case series. This Gut Knife has been finished in a “Patina” style with the Rust Coat finish, intentionally oxidizing the blade into a mottled mix of dull steel, dark spotting, and crusty rust tones that look like years of harsh exposure. The gut-hook spine and chunky profile suit the distressed theme perfectly, while the warm wooden handle keeps it grounded and practical. In Well-Worn condition, the effect is even stronger: visible discoloration, heavy staining, and worn edges are part of the appeal, giving the knife an authentically battered, post-apocalyptic character rather than a pristine showroom shine.
