donk: Loss to Falcons at Cologne was purely our own choking; still aiming for a second Major title

During BLAST Bounty Season 2, analysts Mauisnake and voo interviewed the Spirit duo magixx and donk, discussing their loss at the Cologne Major and their future goals for Major tournaments, among other topics.

Q: Alright, donk, how do you rate your personal performance so far this year?

donk: I'd say it's just alright, that's how I'd describe it. Because I did have some highlight moments, even though as a team we didn't perform well during those times, personally, I feel... I feel great. I can say that I've maintained the same consistency as last year, but I still think I'm quite capable of performing well.

Q: You struggled against Falcons at the Major (donk nods). Is there anything special about Falcons—they seemed to play really well against you...

donk: No, it's not that. I just simply choked that match, that's all. I think it's because winning this Major was too important to me. Basically, I wanted to secure my second Major trophy. I still have a ten-year career ahead of me, and just one Major isn't enough.

Q: If Spirit ultimately fails to lift the championship trophy, would you consider this tournament a failure as long as you don't win it?

magixx: If you don't win the championship, everything is a failure. Because... you—have you ever been a pro player? (laughs)

Q: Not at this level... not at that level (laughs).

magixx: But just imagine that feeling. You go to a tournament... and end up losing in the group stage. Playoffs or whatever, it doesn't matter... The next day, you're on a shuttle bus heading to the airport, filled with regret. How exactly you lost isn't always that important; even if it was a 50/50 match, even if you had every opportunity in your hands, you're still left full of regret.
