zhokiNg: The Chinese CS player pool is indeed too small,

TYLOO lost to Alliance and PARIVISION successively in FISSURE Playground 3, finishing in 9th-12th place. Head coach zhokiNg was dissatisfied with the team's performance, believing the players did not play up to their expected level.

He also talked about the gap between TYLOO and top-tier teams, the reasons behind the team's long-term roster stability, and Attacker's responsibilities within the coaching staff.

Q: How do you evaluate the performance and results of this tournament?

zhokiNg: I'm personally not very satisfied with this result, because our original goal was actually to advance to the knockout stage, but we didn't meet expectations. Throughout the process, I also felt that the players didn't perform to their potential.

The player made a lot of mistakes and was sometimes not in good form.

Q: In the second map against Alliance, you were leading 11-3 at one point but were eventually turned around by your opponent. What happened? What did you say to the team after the match?

zhokiNg: When we were leading 11-3, I felt the players relaxed a bit, including the calls from the command and the overall state during the match—it all seemed a bit lax. They thought we could win this match.

After the match, I pointed out the reasons behind the opponent's comeback. This exposed many of our issues, such as vulnerabilities during tactical execution, poor handling of mid-game scenarios, including 3v3 and 3v2 situations.

The players also made many personal mistakes.

Q: What do you think is the biggest problem with the team right now?

zhokiNg: The biggest problem is that the players' individual all-around skills are not strong enough, and their speed of processing on-field information is not fast enough, making it difficult for them to receive and process information like the current first-team players do.

Additionally, our handling of the mid-to-late game is very weak. The problem lies not only at the operational level but also in game understanding, the ability to adapt to different situations, and the capacity to process varying information during official matches.

Compared to top teams, this is our weakness.

Q: Aside from Zero, the other four players have been on the roster for over two years. For a CS team, such stability is uncommon. Is the decision to keep the lineup unchanged due more to a lack of talent, or because of belief in this roster and these players?

zhokiNg:The former factor is more significant because the player pool in Chinese CS is indeed too small.

This might also give our team players a sense of security, making them feel they won't be easily replaced, and thus they won't be particularly motivated to step out of their comfort zone and improve themselves.

Q:Under what circumstances would you consider changing the lineup? Is there a specific performance threshold that needs to be met?

zhokiNg: There are no particularly clear thresholds or strict requirements for roster adjustments, but performance will certainly influence this decision.

We need to ensure we identify the true cause of failure or poor performance, ensure the problem does not recur, and try to address them. This is the main objective.

Q: Attacker has joined your coaching staff. What is his role in the team?

zhokiNg: During routine preparation, Attacker is more like a person in charge of discipline. He ensures everyone is in good condition and focused on our work.

In terms of official competitions, he also participates in the team's preparatory work.
