Official: Fisher College CS Team Announces Disbandment

According to Dust2.us, Fisher College's CS2 team has decided to part ways outside of mandatory collegiate events, meaning the team has effectively disbanded in the broader CS2 ecosystem. Reportedly, the move stems from differing priorities among the players, with some looking to join other teams, try different roles, or reduce the time spent training and competing in CS2.

Before quietly disbanding from the professional scene, the Fisher College team had just come off a highly successful spring semester, with AlekS and company finishing as runners-up at both FRAG York 2026 and FRAG 20, while also successfully qualifying for PGL Astana 2026, becoming the first collegiate team to compete at an S-tier event.

Afterwards, as the European players returned home in the summer and corn left the team after graduation, the team essentially entered a hiatus.

CrePoW from Fisher College appears to be the first player to find a new home in the professional scene, telling Dust2.us that he has joined DETONATE to replace the recently departed arush. The move reunites him with former Fisher College teammate tatm, with whom he played alongside from September 2024 to March 2025.

CrePoW explained to Dust2.us that his motivation for "voting" to end the entire Fisher College project was wanting to try playing as a sniper, while also expressing his hope to start from scratch with new teammates, new ideas, and new leadership. ReFuZR expressed similar views, saying that due to differing philosophies and goals for CS2, the team's split was a "natural process," and that they will continue to compete together in collegiate events as a combined team.
