EZOR CEO Alexandre "Kakavel" Peres confirmed that insani has not yet decided his future as his contract with MIBR enters its final months.
22-year-old insani is one of Brazil's most talked-about rising talents. Having moved up from MIBR's academy roster nearly 4 years ago, he continues to chase his first major championship title.
During the offseason, Legacy had listed insani as one of the key candidates to replace n1ssim until the latter rejoined the starting lineup.
insani's contract with MIBR is set to expire in December. Spun Media's esports division EZOR, which acquired MIBR in October 2025, has already initiated renewal negotiations with him.
Kakavel：insani is a player developed by MIBR himself. He has proven to us many times that he has a deep sense of identification and gratitude towards MIBR, and he truly enjoys playing for them. He is very important to us, and naturally, we hope he will stay.
I've encountered many exceptionally talented athletes, and there have also been times when athletes decided to pursue a different path.
What I can say is, we have made a good offer to Insani, and he is considering it. He has clearly told me that he doesn't yet know what he wants for his future. During the period when he is making the best decision for his future, I cannot say much to avoid interfering with his life.
He also knows that MIBR is a great option for his future. We truly hope he stays, because we understand how important insani is.
Since 2023, insani has been the only constant in MIBR's lineup. Kakavel refers to him as "the face of the club," but also acknowledges that if insani chooses to continue his career elsewhere, MIBR is already preparing for a future without him.
Kakavel：We will do everything possible to keep him. However, if we ultimately fail to retain him, we are simultaneously developing a contingency plan for the team's construction without Insani, along with the necessary steps to take at that time. I believe the framework is already in place.
I don't know when Insani will make his decision. The contract is in his hands. Recently, because we have several tournaments and he then took some time off during the player break, the renewal negotiations were temporarily put on hold. We have agreed to talk again in the coming days to see if he will sign.
MIBR risks losing this star player for free at the end of the season, but Kakavel dismissed the claim that the club should sell insani during the summer transfer window to avoid this situation.
Kakavel: Think about what Insani can bring to the team, weigh all factors together, and then consider what holds greater value. Don't forget, there are still four months left this year, and during these four months, I still have the opportunity to renew his contract.
Now I'm participating in multiple competitions, my VRS ranking is good, and I have opportunities to continue improving and join more competitions — all of which bring revenue sharing. The player I signed also wants to compete with me, and I'm preparing for 2027.
For me, what is the best course of action? Should he stay in the team, or not? Undoubtedly, he should stay. The cost of continuing to keep him in the squad is lower than the transfer offers others have currently made for him. Selling him now would actually cause me to lose money. That is my view.
MIBR was eliminated from the Esports World Cup, finishing in 17th to 24th place, and will next compete in the IEM Beijing closed qualifier from September 2-4.
