ZywOo, who has been with Vitality for nearly eight years, has renewed his contract with the team until 2028. In an interview with Dust2 Brasil, the French sniper revealed that he had never considered moving to another team.
"To be honest, I've never thought about leaving Vitality or this team. We have an incredibly strong lineup and are part of a fantastic organization. I never even had to consider it (renewing the contract), everything happened so quickly, and I just re-signed with them right away. Honestly, I've never thought about signing with another team."
ZywOo's contract renewal was announced during the ongoing EWC playoffs in Paris. After defeating FaZe in the Round of 16, Vitality will now face Spirit. In ZywOo's view, Vitality needs to improve and return to their best form to compete against donk's team.
"Of course, we need to bring our best to compete against them. I feel we are progressing in a positive way—after each game, we are learning how to become better teammates and a better team."
"After today we'll watch the footage, see what we did, especially on Dust2, because we made a lot of mistakes, many individual plays we shouldn't have. I think we need to reflect on that, and Spirit will be a great opportunity for improvement. Right now, I think we need to focus on ourselves rather than thinking about facing donk and Spirit. We just need to think about ourselves," he added.
This EWC will be Vitality's last event with a full lineup. At BLAST Porto, jL will substitute for mezii; at PGL Bucharest Masters, he will replace apEX. ZywOo stated that this makes EWC even more important.
"Of course, it makes it even more important because we have two weeks without mezii. We wanted to achieve something before he leaves to be with his newborn baby. We wanted to make it happen, to go as far as possible. We know EWC is very important for Vitality, but it's also crucial for us—it boosts our confidence and our feel for the game. We need to bring good energy, and that's what we're focusing on."
