JiJieHao defeated HOTU 2-1 (Mirage 7-13, Cache 13-9, Dust2 13-11) to become the last team to qualify from the Esports World Cup open qualifier.
JiJieHao have qualified for the Esports World Cup main event alongside 100 Thieves, BIG and K27, with sinnopsyy's team undoubtedly the biggest dark horse of the qualifiers.
They narrowly advanced after a hard-fought three-map battle against Sangal in the group stage decider, but hit their stride in the knockout stage with three consecutive 2-1 wins.
Their qualification run kicked off with a major upset, with DENDELE becoming the first to fall to them, before m1N1 was named MVP in the win over Phantom.
This means they will face HOTU, ranked 28 places above them on VRS, for a spot in the main event.
However, the international squad kept their composure against the favored, Russian-majority opponents, ultimately clinching the series victory 13-11 on Dust2 thanks to a masterclass performance from Bibu, who posted a 1.41 Rating on the decider.
