CS Daily: Valve Steps In to Crack Down on Profanity Leaderboard?

1. Valve steps in to clean up 'profanity' ranking list?

In yesterday's CS2 update, Valve updated the encryption rules for demo chat logs.

The reason for Valve's update stems from prior third-party websites analyzing the chat logs of CS2 players, with some even creating rankings based on the frequency of "swear words" in those conversations.

After the update, third-party websites will no longer be able to scrape chat logs from player matches, and such rankings will be forced to "stop updating".
