Following the official announcement of the 2027 China Major, CS2 analyst Thorin took to social media to criticize, straightforwardly stating that "the core European audience is being sacrificed for fictional Chinese viewership ratings," and also called out those who defended such arrangements. Events hosted in China often have match times that fall during early morning hours in Europe, which is extremely unfriendly to European audiences.
Analyst Thorin expressed sarcasm about the official announcement of the 2027 China CS2 Major. He bluntly voiced his dissatisfaction that the event would be held in a time zone extremely unfriendly to European viewers.
Thorin: Fantastic! I just love the idea of sacrificing European core viewers for the sake of so-called 'fictional Chinese ratings growth.' This experiment has been repeated for decades. Now, the stupidest and most selfish morons are about to explain again—how they've always tolerated inconvenient viewing times in a country whose name nobody even cares about.
