Sources claim Envy is set to acquire the 3DMAX roster, marking their return to CS with a team of five French players.

This North American organization, founded around the esports scene of Call of Duty, entered the CSGO arena in 2015. It has housed many French CS legends, with the majority of its history in Valve's FPS game centered around the French-speaking community. According to sources close to Sheep Esports, this identity may return after nearly five years since its last roster, as the 3DMAX lineup will join the organization under this historic banner that has already won a Major. This rumor was previously reported by the French media outlet lasourcegg.
After months of persistent issues within this French organization regarding unpaid salaries, bonuses, and sticker revenue shares—extensively covered by Sheep Esports—the French players in the roster are now moving to a new club. 3DMAX is left without a home.

This year, 3DMAX narrowly missed qualification at the Cologne Major held last July, despite the club having previously qualified for three consecutive events. In those appearances, the French organization finished between 12th and 14th place each time, being eliminated before the playoffs. Therefore, the situation for 2026 was only expected to worsen, seemingly due to internal issues within the club, with debts already accumulating before the season even began. Although other options earlier this year proposed to buy out the same roster while assuming part of the club's substantial debt—including Team Heretics—it now appears that Envy (formerly Team EnvyUs) will be the organization taking over these five players. According to information gathered by sheepesports reporters, the North American organization seems unlikely to take on the debt or any portion of it, focusing instead on acquiring the players and, of course, their VRS points.
Envy was active from 2015 to 2021 and is now expected to make a return to the scene after nearly five years of inactivity. Following their time in CSGO, the organization is set to come back with a roster in CS2, and true to its origins, will field five French players. It's also worth noting that besides captain Maka and his four teammates, there are currently two players benched by 3DMAX: Ex3rcice and bodyy, the latter of whom is currently on loan to OG Esports.
